For this 7,000-square-foot traditional home on Further Lane in East Hampton, the request from the clients was to simplify both the exterior and interior. A full renovation was undertaken to make the house function better for the homeowners, who required a specific design aesthetic: modern while still maintaining a classic base.

Masculine textures and colors permeate the residence, with riffs of fall palettes from ’80s GQ magazines to give a timeless, textured appeal. The primary bathroom was completely reimagined with a large skylight above the shower stall that creates the feeling of an outdoor shower.
